From the desk of TNCSC President:

It is a matter of great pride and honour to represent the Tamilnadu Cultural Society of Canada (TNCSC) as it's President for 2009-2011.

The Association serves the needs of the Indian Tamil Community in Canada. Our mission is to get together as one and celebrate Indian Tamil religious and cultural activities and cherish values of mutual respect and understanding. Our community is literally an extended family with strong bonds between us; the association is a true reflection of these emotions and will strive hard to focus beyond the milestone cultural events that we organize every year.

We also aim to broaden our cultural horizons by celebrating events of our adopted country, the Canada, in the spirit of multiculturalism, one of the fundamental characteristics of India and the Canada.     

In a short period of 12 months of this TNCSC Board, we succeeded in transforming the Association into one of the most dynamic in the Indian Community in Canada. I believe two key factors made our transformation possible: We stayed focused on our mission and made a concerted effort to “live” our operating principles by integrating them into all facets of our work.

I would like to take this occasion to thank the TNCSC Board of Directors, Past Presidents, Office bearers of the association and all of you-dear community members, for keeping the "Indian" and 'Tamil' spirit alive and well in this wonderful country.

Though we have a small core team to help in organizing various events, I would once again request all of you to help us in carrying out various community tasks.
